The concept was based off of a question my friend Mary Beth once asked me. What would a memory feel like if you could hold it in your hands? Fuzzy? Smooth? Wobbly?
Using my fairly limited knowledge of p5 and a handful of tutorials, (see credits below) I created Living Memories. Users can input a memory of a day well spent or a bad day they can't forget and bring it to life on screen through a wavy blob, patterns, motion, typefaces, and colors. The project uses a sentiment analysis model to map values to 7 different variables that change according to sentiment.
There may even be a few hidden easter eggs hidden in the project. Hint: "disco mode"
